ABOUT RAT'S WOODSHACK BBQ!
Rat’s WoodShack BBQ was founded by two friends with
a strong love for BBQ, Darryl Johnson and Megill Stewart.
Master BBQ Chef Darryl Johnson has spent over 25 years crafting Rat’s WoodShack’s
Signature BBQ and Sauce. Darryl gained the nickname "Rat" while playing football at the
University of Colorado in the mid 80’s as a running back. Over the years Darryl has owned and
acted as head chef at several restaurants in Colorado. Latest being co-owner and head chef
at LuLu’s Low Country Kitchen that was located in Boulder.
Now teamed with his new partner, Rat’s WoodShack BBQ offers Catering and Sales
of their BBQ and BBQ Sauce. The BBQ Sauce can be found at five locations in Boulder.
